(PL-REZ-2022-000017), <br />TMK: (3) 7-7-008:062 <br />Aloha Leeward Planning Commissioners, <br />Please oppose Agenda Item 2, November 16 for all of the significant reasons you'll be hearing from <br />the public. <br />It's not a good plan nor timely especially with seriously lacking infrastructure and connectivity as <br />well as water use/disposal issues. Rezoning from 5 acres to 1 acre is also not infill per the Kona <br />Community Development Plan nor is it within the paradigm of "smart growth". These facts I am <br />well aware of being and having been the longest serving member of the KCDP Action Committee as <br />well as original Steering Committee. <br />Please insure that a process which takes the KCDP and other public interests and concerns is put <br />forward. Don't rubber stamp a project which will cause nothing but headaches, ill wit, excessive <br />traffic and runoff, and other serious environmental and cultural losses and headaches for residents <br />for the benefit of one landowner. <br />Mahalo for rejecting this request. <br />Sincerely, <br />Janice Palma-Glennie <br />Kailua-Kona <br />
