Aloha Leeward Planning Commissioners,
Please oppose Agenda Item 2, November 16 for all of the significant reasons you'll be hearing from
the public.
It's not a good plan nor timely especially with seriously lacking infrastructure and connectivity as
well as water use/disposal issues. Rezoning from 5 acres to 1 acre is also not infill per the Kona
Community Development Plan nor is it within the paradigm of "smart growth". These facts I am
well aware of being and having been the longest serving member of the KCDP Action Committee as
well as original Steering Committee.
Please insure that a process which takes the KCDP and other public interests and concerns is put
forward. Don't rubber stamp a project which will cause nothing but headaches, ill wit, excessive
traffic and runoff, and other serious environmental and cultural losses and headaches for residents
for the benefit of one landowner.
