MOTION
Comm. Herbert moves to approve the October 27, 2022, Meeting Minutes.
Comm. Obenski seconds the Motion.
Voice Vote: AYES: (8) Unanimous

[5] PRESENTATION OF THE FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDA-
TIONS OF THE 2022 COST OF GOVERNMENT COMMISSION
REPORT TO THE MAYOR AND MANAGING DIRECTOR, FOLLOWED
BY DISCUSSION.
[11:05 am] Comments: Chair Konowicz thanked the Mayor, Managing Director, County
Council, Department/Division heads, the public, and especially the
Commissioners and their families for their time and effort serving on this
committee. He then summarized the "highlights" of the final report, citing the
updated commission rules, the restrictions and burdens of Konno and the
Sunshine Law, the administrative support to the commission, and the commission
timing,
Mayor Roth thanked the commission for their report findings recommendations
and acknowledged that many of the findings were already being implemented by
the administration, pointing to the permitting process, the EPIC system
improvements and changes, the efforts to "green" the mass transit system and
announced a grant efforts.
Individual commissioners each acknowledged the work accomplished and voiced
appreciation for the team and the process. Chair Konowicz encouraged further
participation by Commissioners in the various aspects of County government.

Commissioner Herbert made a motion to dissolve the 2022 Cost of Government
Commission
Commissioners Wakat and Matson seconded the Motion
Voice Vote: AYES (S) Unanimous
The 2022 Cost of Government Commission is Dissolved and Meeting
Adjoined at 12:15 pm
