RESOLUTION NO. 38 23
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE ISLAND OF
HAWAII YMCA TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES RELATED TO THE PURCHASE AND
INSTALLATION OF A WATER BOTTLE FILLING STATION.
WHEREAS, the Island of Hawaii YMCA(YMCA) is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit
organization that supports the community through its programs and activities in youth
development, healthy living, and social responsibility; and
WHEREAS, the YMCA provides health and fitness classes, day camps, online
education, family visitations, etc., and is seeking assistance to purchase and install a water bottle
filling station to provide a healthy environment for its participating members; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports organizations that bring
awareness and education to our youth and community on living a healthy, alcohol-free, and drug-
free lifestyle; and
WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) ofthe Hawaii County Code,
Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via
resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity,
service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Department of
Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Island of Hawaii YMCA to assist with expenses related
to the purchase and installation of a water bottle filling station.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council ofthe County of Hawaii hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Liquor Control and Director of Finance, and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
