Graham presiding. PRESENT:ABSENT & EXCUSED: Hannah SpringerAndrew Iwashita Rodney H. WatanabeJeffrey McCall Allen Salavea Rene Siracusa Fred Galdones Ivan Torigoe, Deputy Corporation Counsel Norman Hayashi, Planning Program Manager Jeff Darrow, Staff Planner The Chair introduced the Commissioners and the Staff to the public. AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 25, ZONING INITIATOR: PLANNING DIRECTOR Amendment to Chapter 25 (Zoning), Article 4, Section 25-4-11 (b) by including a sewer pump station as a permitted use in any zone district subject to the Planning Directors issuance of a plan approval. (SEE EXHIBIT C) MINUTESThe Commission took this item up at 9:41 a.m. with no one from the public in attendance. February 24, 2006 - It was moved by Commissioner Siracusa and seconded by Commissioner Watanabe that the approval of the minutes be deferred to the next meeting. The motion was unanimously carried by a voice vote of all Commissioners present. ADMINISTRATIVEThe Commission took this item up at 9:42 a.m. with MATTERS no one from the public in attendance. th Deputy Corporation Counsel Ivan Torigoe noted that at the April 7 meeting he will be discussing a proposed settlement agreement amongst the parties regarding the appealbefore the Third Circuit Court on Ainaloa Development Corporations Use Permit No. 106. He noted the Commission may want an executive session to discuss the merits of the appeal and requested that the staff provide the Commissioners with copies of Judge Haras decision. Commissioner Siracusa stated that she will be unable to attend the April Kona meeting ANNOUNCEMENTSTheCommissiontookthisitemupat9:44a.m.with no one from the public in attendance. Mr. Hayashi reminded the Commissioners of the General Plan Interim Amendments workshop stth on March 31 in Hilo. He noted that hearings on those proposals are scheduled for April 7 in st Hilo and April 21 in West Hawaii. st As some Commissioners would not be at the March 31 workshop and her term would end on thatdate,CommissionerSpringerstateditwasherprivilegeandpleasuretoworkwiththe Commission. Chair Graham expressed the Commissions enjoyment of her attendance and participationovertheyears.
