<br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />MINUTES <br />December 9, 2005 <br />The Planning Commission met in regular session at 8:50 a.m. in the Waikoloa Beach Marriott <br />Hotel, Alii Ballroom II, 69-275 Waikoloa Beach Drive, Waikoloa, Hawaii with Chairman Fred <br />Galdones presiding. <br />PRESENT:Fred GaldonesABSENT & EXCUSED: Jeffrey McCall <br />C. Graham <br />Rene Siracusa <br />HannahSpringer <br />Andrew Iwashita <br />Chris Yuen, Deputy PlanningDirector <br />Norman Hayashi, Planning Program Manager <br />Phyllis Fujimoto, StaffPlanner <br />Jeff Darrow, Staff Planner <br />Ivan Torigoe, Deputy Corporation Counsel <br />The Chair welcomed the Commissioners and the Staff. There was no one from the public in <br />attendance. <br />ELECTION OFThe Commission took this item up at 8:50 a.m. with no one <br />2005 OFFICERSfrom the public in attendance. <br />Chair Galdones opened the nominations for the 2005 Officers. <br />Commissioner Springer nominated a slate of Commissioners for the Officer positions. The <br />nominations are Commissioner Kimo Alameda for Chairman, Commissioner Bill Graham for <br />First Vice Chairman and Commissioner Rodney Watanabe for Second Vice Chairman. <br />Commissioner Iwashita seconded the list of nominees. <br />Commissioner Siracusa thanked Commissioner Galdones for his service as Chairman. <br />There being no further discussion it was moved by Commissioner Siracusa and seconded by <br />Commissioner Iwashita that the nominations be closed. The motion was unanimously carried by <br />voice vote of all Commissioners in attendance. <br />Chair Galdones stated that since there are no contenders for the officer positions the slate of <br />CommissionersnominatedaredeclaredelectedasOfficersforthe2005CY.Hecongratulated <br />them all. <br />1 <br /> <br />
