HomeMy WebLinkAboutPublic Notice for Waikapuna Draft RMP Mar 22, 2023 NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING The County of Hawai‘i, through its Department of Finance and in coordination with the non-profit Ala Kahakai Trail Association (ATA) will be holding a virtual public meeting for the Waikapuna Draft Resources Management Plan. The purpose of the meeting is (1) to share the draft management plan for the Waikapuna property (Tax Map Key 9-5-007: 016) and (2) to gather input on the draft plan. The draft plan is available on the County’s website under the “Management Plans” folder: https://records.hawaiicounty.gov/weblink/1/edoc/121424/Waikapuna%20Resources%20Management%20Plan_Public%20Review%20Draft_February%202023.pdf ATA owns the Waikapuna parcel in fee simple. The County acquired a Conservation Easement for over more than 2,000 acres at Waikapuna in 2019 with funds from the County’s Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Fund. Cost of copies is $1.00 for the first page and $.10 for each additional page. Copies may be mailed to interested persons after payment of fees for copies and postage are received.
