Kimo Alameda presiding. <br />PRESENT:C. Yuen, Planning Director <br />Norman Hayashi, Planning Program Manager <br />Phyllis Fujimoto, Staff Planner <br />Jeff Darrow, Staff Planner <br />And approximately 26 people from the public in attendance. <br />APPLICANT: ROYAL ALII LLC (SMA 05-007) <br />Continuation on the application for a Special Management Area Use Permit to allow the <br />development of a 19-unit single family residential development and related uses. The property is <br />located on the east (mauka) side of Alii Drive, across from the Alohi Kai Subdivision and <br />Kamoa Point, Kaumalumalu, North Kona, Hawaii, TMK: 7-7-4:57 and 58. <br />ALAMEDA:Fellow Commissioners, there is a 2A, if youll notice in your agenda <br />packet: Unfinished Business, Applicant: Royal Ali i LLC (SMA 05-007). This is a continuation <br />on the application for a Special Management Area Use Permit to allow the development of a 19- <br />unit single family residential development and related uses. And the property is located on the <br />east (mauka) side of Ali i Drive, across from Alohi Kai Subdivision and Kamoa Point, <br />Kaumalumalu, North Kona, Hawai i. Mr. Hayashi, whenever youre ready. <br />HAYASHI:Thank you, Mr. Chair. Just to refresh the Commissioners memory, on <br />th <br />February 24 <br /> of this year, this matter was brought before the Planning Commission. The subject <br />propertyisindicatedbythisbluedot.ItissituatedalongthemaukasideofAli iDrive.Thisis <br />the Kamoa Point area. <br />The Applicant had proposed tobuild a 19-unit single-family residential development consisting <br />of2,000to10,000squarefootsizedlots.Thehouseswouldbeapproximately1,500to2,400 <br />square feet in size, one- to two-story buildings. The Applicant also intends to provide two <br />parkingspacesperunitorperlot.Undergroundutilitieswouldbeprovidedandaprivate <br />roadway would be with curbs, gutters and sidewalks. <br /> <br />
