ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS
Minutes of the Meetings of June 9, 2009 and June 24, 2009.

NEW BUSINESS
KCDP Implementation.
1. Action Committee will begin ongoing review of KCDP
Goals, Policies and Actions & discuss roles & responsibilities.
2. Sub-Committee Creation.
a. Organize: Transportation, Land Use, Environmental Resources, Cultural
Resources, Housing, Public Facilities, Energy, Economic Development,
Education and Outreach Committee (see Operating Guidelines)?
3. Planning Department Update.
Staff will provide update on Kona District
projects/programs.

a. Honokohau Village Center Master Plan. Allen Salavea will provide

Notice:
The purpose of the public hearings is to afford all interested persons a reasonable opportunity to be heard
on the above items. According to the Operating Guidelines of the Kona Community Development Plan
Action Committee, a person desiring to submit oral or written testimony shall indicate her/his name;
residence address; and whether the testimony is on her/his behalf or as a representative of an
organization or individual. Written testimony shall be submitted with an original and nine copies prior to
testifying. The Committee would appreciate timely submittal to the Planning Department at least one
week prior to the hearing date to allow for mailing and thorough Committee review.
If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five days of becoming a
lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3 (b), Hawaii County Code}. A lobbyist means “any individual engaged
for pay or other consideration who spend more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month
period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or
urging others to communicate with public officials.” {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawaii County
Code} Any disabled person requiring special assistance or person requiring auxiliary aid and/or services
to participate in this meeting should contact the Planning Department at 327-3510 five (5) working days
prior to the hearing so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
