NEW BUSINESS KCDP Implementation. 1. Action Committee will continue ongoing review of KCDP Goals, Policies and Actions & discuss roles & responsibilities. a. Action Committee will review and discuss the draft work plan proposed to focus on specific implementation tasks for the Kona CDP. Sub-Committee Reports. 2.Action Committee will review sub-committee reports and recommended motions and discussion items to place on the next meeting agenda for action. a. The Action Committee will discuss the Transition to multimodal roadway standards implementation. Financial Plan. 3.Roy Takemoto will provide the Action Committee information regarding the Financial Plan proposed in the KCDP. CIP Input Process. 4.The Action Committee will discuss the process for providing input into the County’s CIP projects to the Planning Department. Planning Department Update. 5. Planning Department list of applications submitted from 10/28/09 and actions pending. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC REGARDING ITEMS ON THE AGENDA ANNOUNCEMENTS Cancel Meeting for December Next Meeting January 27, 2010 – Mayor’s Conference Room – Hanama 1 Schedule of Meetings for 2010 – All to be located at the Mayor’s Conference Room – Hanama 1: 1/27/10, 2/24/10, 3/24/10, 4/28/10, 5/26/10, 6/23/10, rdrd 7/28/10, 8/25/10, 9/22/10, 10/27/10, 11/17/10 (3 Wed) and 12/15/10 (3 Wed) ADJOURNMENT Notice: The purpose of the public hearings is to afford all interested persons a reasonable opportunity to be heard on the above items. According to the Operating Guidelines of the Kona Community Development Plan Action Committee, a person desiring to submit oral or written testimony shall indicate her/his name and whether the testimony is on her/his behalf or as a representative of an organization or individual. Written testimony shall be submitted with an original and nine copies prior to testifying. The Committee would appreciate timely submittal to the Planning Department at least one week prior to the hearing date to allow for mailing and thorough Committee review. If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3 (b), Hawaii County Code}. A lobbyist means “any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spend more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials.” {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawaii County Code}. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or language interpretation to access this meeting please contact the Planning Department at 961-8288 as soon as possible, but no later than five (5) working days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for accommodations. “Other reasonable modification” refers to communication methods or devices for people with disabilities who are mentally and/or physically challenged PLANNING DIRECTOR BJ Leithead Todd
