Aloha,
I have worked next to Bolton’s land for 14 years. Over the last rainy seasons, Wai’aha River has flowed many times in
very large amounts. I have video of huge excavators in the river moving boulders and gravel while the river is flowing.
Workers create access roads that criss cross the river. A three foot culvert is not large enough to allow safe river passage
as it gets stuck up with debris. Bolton’s pollutive land use activities up against Kona’s most precious water source
negatively affects us all.
I have no problem with gym activities but Bolton’s land access is unsafe and causes pollution. He should not be granted
additional permits.
