MOOERS (SMA 09-32) <br />Special Management Area (SMA) Use Permit to allow the renovation of the King <br />KamehamehaÓs Kona Beach Hotel, its commercial area, and related parking and landscaping <br />improvements on approximately 12.89 acres in the Special Management Area. The project site <br />is the existing King KamehamehaÓs Kona Beach Hotel complex, Kailua-Kona, North Kona, <br />HawaiÒi, TMK: 7-5-06:20, 21, 24 & 32; 7-5-05:62, 66 & 75. <br /> <br />WATANABE: Okay, the next agenda item is, the applicant is Greg Mooers and this is an <br />SMA, Special Management Area Permit, to allow the renovation of the King KamehamehaÓs <br />Kona Beach Hotel. With that, IÓll turn it over to Maija. <br /> <br />COTTLE: Thank you, Mr. Chairman. The applicant, Gregory Mooers, <br />a Special Management Area Use Permit to renovate the King KamehamehaÓs Kona Beach Hotel, <br />its commercial area, and related parking and landscaping improvements on approximately 12.89 <br />acres within the SMA. <br /> <br />And if I can just direct your attention up to the screen. The property is located in Kailua Village <br />between Kuakini Highway and the Kailua Pier. It is shown on this slide outlined in black.
