I welcome Kona Aerial Gymnastics Team, Inc. as neighbors and support the conversion of the
warehouse to a sports facility. However, I ask that the Leeward Planning Commission
specifically clarify that the gravel used to surface the parking stalls and access road is not to be
produced using a rock crusher on the property.
The homeowners of Pualani Estates have previously suffered the fallout of Bolton producing
gravel near our properties. The Commission is reminded that the Boltons previously used an
onsite flood control improvement as a pretext for commercial crushing of rocks that were used
at offsite locations. It is inappropriate to use an industrial rock crusher so close to houses as
the dust,noise, and vibrations from that operation have a serious detrimental effect on our
quality of life and property values.
