Subject: I Oppose the Shoreline setback change
Aloha Leeward Commission and Windward Planning Commission:
Please oppose this minimum 20 ft to 40 ft. setback rules, because the State Law is Already minimum 40 feet!
THIS LAW IS PRESENTLY 40 FOOT SETBACK AND MUST NOT GET SMALLER IF ANYTHING IT SHOULD BE FURTHER WITH
SEA RISE HAPPENING GLOBALLY.
Attached is the link to Sea Level Rise and the 40-set back State Law HRS 205A 0043.
This law was of September 15, 2020.ACT 16.
1 recall in the battle of the condo at Lyman house. Attorney Olsen and Sons won this battle because the state
admitted to all present the setback for the orriginal application for this projected condo at LYMANS, had an error
consisting of an illigal 20 foot set back when law is 40ft.
We need our Beaches Back of White Sand!
Look what is taking place now on the North Shores of Oahu, and Waikiki.
NO SHORELINE AND SET BACK CHANGE. IT REMAINS AT 40FT AND SHOULD BE MORE!
THANK YOU I l l
