You are right, after visiting with the Planning Department, it became very clear that each department does speak different languages and we want to be sure we are understanding all parts correctly. To confirm our conversation, as stated in Section 310 Residential Group R under 310.4 as a Congregate Living Facility (nontransient) with an R-3 classification we are properly permitted for up to 16 occupants. Based upon our subsequent discussions with the Planning Department, it would greatly assist us to have confirmation of this from the Building Department when we submit our application, in order to prevent the Hearing Committee sending the question back for clarification and further delaying the issuance of our permit. Would you therefore, be so kind as to confirm our understanding of the above.
