Do you happen to have the first sheet of the Special Inspection form you sent
me? You sent me the 2nd sheet, it's the first sheet that is supposed to indicate
the use and total occupant loads. If you do not possess a copy of the first sheet,
it is likely that the Department of Health should have that on file(?).

I cannot advise use outside that approved for your licensing AND in your
permitting. If you are a "Congregate Living Facility'; then occupancy would cap
at 16 to maintain an R-3 designation.

Aloha Joel,
Thank you so much for your time yesterday and for helping us more fully
comprehend our R-3 classification.
You are right, after visiting with the Planning Department, it became
very clear that each department does speak different languages and we
want to be sure we are understanding all parts correctly.
To confirm our conversation, as stated in Section 310 Residential Group R
under 310.4 as a Congregate Living Facility (nontransient) with an R-3
classification we are properly permitted for up to 16 occupants.
Based upon our subsequent discussions with the Planning Department,
it would greatly assist us to have confirmation of this from the Building
Department when we submit our application, in order to prevent the Hearing
Committee sending the question back for clarification and further
delaying the issuance of our permit.
Would you therefore, be so kind as to confirm our understanding of the
above.
