KAILUA VILLAGE DESIGN COMMISSION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a meeting to be held by the Kailua Village
Design Commission of the County of Hawai‘i in accordance with the provision of
Section 92-7, Hawai‘i Revised Statutes.

NEW BUSINESS
1.Update by Wally Lau, Deputy Managing Director, on the recruitment and
appointment of KVDC Commissioners.
2.Design review of a proposed telecommunication facility located on the rooftop of
the Borders building located in the Crossroads Shopping Center. Applicant:
Mark Nyhus, Cellco Partnership dba Verizon Wireless. Land Owner: A.R.B.P.
LLC; Bohnenkamp, Barbara J. TR; Rapoza, Clarence S. TR; Viloria, Julie Ann
TRST. TMK: 7-5-004:058. Located at 75-1000 Henry Street, Kailua-Kona, HI,
at the intersection of Henry Street and Queen Ka‘ahumanu Highway.
3.Design review of proposed

4.Discuss how future telecommunication towers and antennas will be planned for
Kailua Village Special District and make recommendations to the Planning
Director on how to come up with a consolidated plan for existing and proposed
telecommunication towers and antennas.
5.KVDC - Open discussion of the Commissioners to consider revisions to Chapter
3, Article 2 - Kailua Village Signs, to forward to the Department of Public Works,
Building Division.
