Windward Planning Commission, A sa long time resident of Lower Puna and a frequent guest, resident
and visitor to HER, I am writing to support the above application fro special use permit
I believe that HER represent a great example of how to live in community, produce food, and live
sustainably in Hawaii. Over the years i have witnessed 100' of people come to stay at HER from all over
the world to learn about Hawaii: its land and culture.
I understand that the current owners/operators of HER have made great strides in communicating and re-
establishing positive relationship with there neighbors.
I believe your approval of this application would have a positive effect to the neighborhood, community
and Puna District by providing jobs and a clean local economy.
