I am a Puna resident and have been coming to <br /> this center since 2019. It is a well-organized, well-run entity offering personal growth <br /> programs, space for community meetings and a clean economic model for job creation based <br /> on travel and education. <br /> To give a few examples: I have been attending a men's council at the center designed to help <br /> resolve conflict and improve relations among men in our community. I have also attended <br /> personal growth and healing workshops. And I am aware of other programs such as an aquatic <br /> healing offering from which many have benefitted. <br /> The facility is a beacon for connection. It is a model for off grid living and food sustainability. <br /> It is an asset to a community where folks resonate with and take care of the land and of each <br /> other. In a world where people feel disconnected from one another and from the earth, this <br /> center offers a breath of fresh air. I also gather that Hawaiian Eco Retreat is in discussions <br /> with its adjacent property owners to be an exemplary neighbor and address any concerns they <br /> may have. <br /> By approving this permit, you will strengthen our community in a very inspiring way.
