The property is <br />located along the west (makai) side of the Mamalahoa Highway (Highway 11), approximately <br />th <br />120 feet south of the Kaohe Road-Mamalahoa Highway intersection, Kaohe 5, South Kona, <br />Hawaii, TMK: 8-7-9: 14. <br />GRAHAM: The first item on our agenda today under Unfinished Business is an <br />application for a Special Permit. The applicant is Daniel Ibbetson. The permit is to operate a <br />2-unit bed and breakfast establishment in the State Land Use Agricultural district. It’s on the <br />makai side of the Mamalahoa Highway just south of the Kaohe Road-Mamalahoa Highway in <br />South Kona. This is an item that has been before us a number of times in the last couple of <br />years. I’ll turn it over to Jeff for the Planning Department’s presentation. <br />DARROW: Thank you, Mr. Chairman. Good morning, Mr. Chairman and Members of <br />the Planning Commission. If I can direct your attention to the location map just for a brief <br />orientation. The application before us is located within the South Kona District of Hawaii.
