Aloha!
We are writing on behalf of New Hope Waikoloa's special permit application to let you
know that we are IN FAVOR of the permit's approval.
We have been attending New Hope Waikoloa since 2017. Since being a part of this church
'ohana, we have participated in several community events which they have facilitated.
Our back to school nights have provided children with hundreds of backpacks and school
supplies.
We have been a part of helping to feed children in the community during their summer
breaks and at other times when they have been unable to eat at school. Our people have
also provided angel gifts. at Christmas time, to keiki in the community who are in need.
We've also helped to distribute food to our kupuna in the community as well as help the
homeless.
Besides meeting the community's practical needs, the church provides a place for the
youth to come on Friday nights to find friendship, fellowship, and to help them to grow
spiritually and in other areas of their lives.
We have also been a part of several prayer nights over the years, where our main focus
was the community of Waikoloa. Without a doubt, our church is truly committed to this
quickly growing community.
It is evident to us, and to those attending NHW, that the church has grown so much over
the years that it is out-growing our current location. This speaks volumes to the impact that
NHW has had in the community over the years.
Finally, with this new building in place, we are confident that New Hope Waikoloa will be
able to serve the community of Waikoloa Village far beyond what we are able to do right
now.
