I know quite a few of my neighbors do this and it has never been a problem or caused any issues. I am home all day and haven't noticed any additional traffic or street parking from any visitors or guests. I think the letter we recieved is fear mongering - it lists all the negative things but none of the positive things....short term rentals and B & B services provides. I think sharing your house is fine and would like to do the same as we have friends and family that are doctors, veterinarians and veterinarian students and they stay here at our house and sometimes they need housing short term and we do not have enough room at our house so if they could stay at our neighbors, B & B house that would be ideal. As they donate their time & professional services for events on the island example - medical support for Iron Man event or the Animal Spay & Neuter clinics on the island ... I think these are good services the visitors provide. We need more people to open their homes and hearts to good kind generous professional people that want to visit and volunteer here in our community. This is the Aloha spirit we believe in and one of the reasons we moved here. A - "Akahai" meaning kindness L - "Lokahi" meaning unity, harmony O - "Oluolu" meaning agreeable, pleasantness H - "Haahaa" meaning humility, modesty A - "Ahonui" meaning patience, perseverance LeeAnne & Evan Loney should be approved to have a B & B on their property. It is service and a blessing that they open their home to families that want to visit here and those families become our friends and help support our community.
