With this letter, the County of Hawaii Department of Environmental Management announces
the availability of the programmatic final environmental impact statement (PFEIS) for the
proposed Addition of Wastewater Services for the Puna District, located in the planning area for
the Puna Community Development Plan on the Island of Hawaii.
The PFEIS is being published in the Environmental Review Program's (ERP's) The
Environmental Notice on September 23, 2023, It is provided under provisions of Hawaii
Revised Statutes Chapter 343 and Hawaii Administrative Rules 11-200.1. Beginning September
23, 2023, the document can be accessed at the ERP's The Environmental Notice website, here:
https;//files.hawaii.gov/dbedt/erp/The_Enviromnental Notice/2023-09-23-TEN.pdf.
The PFEIS includes copies of all written comments received during the 45-day public
consultation period for the PDEIS, as well as responses to all comments.
