SMITH (SLU O5-003/REZ <br />A regularly advertised hearing on the application of <br />05-011) <br />was called to order at 9:07 a.m. in the King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel, Islander <br />Room, 75-5660 Palani Road, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii with Chairman Fred Galdones presiding. <br />PRESENT:Fred GaldonesABSENT & EXCUSED: Hannah Springer <br />C. SMITH (SLU O5-003/REZ 05-011) <br />a.State Land Use boundary amendment for 5.304 acres from the Agricultural to the Rural <br />district. <br />b.ChangeofZonefor5.304acresfromanAgricultural5-acre(A-5a)districttoa <br />Residential and Agricultural 2-acre (RA-2a) district. <br />The property is located along the south side of Kanehoa Street, approximately 450 feet west of <br />the Kanehoa Street-Anekona Street junction, Kanehoa Estates Subdivision, Ouli, South Kohala, <br />Hawaii, TMK: 6-2-11:30. <br />GALDONES:Agenda item number 1. Applicant is Martin E. Smith, SLU 05-003/REZ <br />05-011. This is State Land Use boundary amendment for 5.304 acres from the Agricultural to <br />the Rural district. This also is a Change of Zone for 5.304 acres from an Agricultural 5-acre (A- <br />5a) district to a Residential and Agricultural 2-acre (RA-2a) district. Norman? <br />HAYASHI:Thank you Mr. Chair. Im not sure if youre able to see the maps on the <br />wall. Excuse me. First of all as far as the location of the subject property Ill refer to the <br />Planning Commissions overall location map. And the subject property is within the Anekona <br />Estates subdivision that is in this general configuration. Adjacent to that is the Kanehoa <br />subdivision further mauka. This is the Waimea-Kawaihae Road. This would be in the Waimea <br />direction and the Kawaihae direction would be this way to the west. The colors on the map <br />indicate the various zoning districts. The green shaded areas, this light green shaded area are <br />EXHIBIT A <br />1 <br /> <br />
