CALL TO ORDER Meeting called to order by Chair Elena Cabatu at 11:32am. II. ROLL CALL Present: Rachelle Agrigado-Betts, Andrew Langtry, Elena Cabatu, Shana Kukila, Dr. Hannah Preston-Pita, Lisa-Ann Pana, Jennifer Stotter (HSCSW Commissioner ex- officio, Suzanna Tiapula (Corporation Counsel ex-officio), Evelyn Lee— Quorum met. Absent: Farrah-Marie Gomes, Evelyn Lee III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES for October 18, 2023 Tabled to next month, no discussion IV. TREASURER'S REPORT A. Approval of Treasurer's Report Andy reported the current budget is $10,000, no expenditures to date. Hannah moved to approve the Treasurer's report. Rachelle seconded. No discussion. All approved, motion passed. V. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC (may be made now or at any time an agenda item is called) None. VI. CORRESPONDENCE None. VI I. REPORTS A. Hawaii State CSW (HSCSW) liaison report— Jennifer shared that there are currently no state CSW employees as the Secretary just resigned. Jennifer will reach out to the statae level regarding next steps and to submit a request for a formal update. B. Family Violence Interagency Committee (FVIC) — No update Vill. NEW BUSINESS A. Statements from the Public None. B. Add to next months agenda— Suzanna will discuss the following: a. Lobbying parameters & procedures b. Subcommittee framework & Sunshine Law c. Family Services Directory i. Review of curent directory information ii. Approval of project rationale Need further discussion to finalize the directory. B. Outreach Sub-Committee report— meeting will be held on November 30, 2023, all welcomed to attend a. Teen Dating Violence— No report i. Cell phone safety cards b. Real Women Essay (tabled) c. Community Surveys 51 responses to date, committee is looking for ways to address some of the responses about the role of our committee through outreach activities. d. SAVE THE DATE — February 5, 2024— Human Trafficking Rachel Fischer Documentary e. Travel Project Rationale— 2024 Legislative Session Opening Day Shana orally shared the project rationale for committee members to travel Honolulu for the Opening Day of the 2024 Legislative Session. Lisa made a motion to purchase five (5) airline tickets, plus ground transportation for 5 CSW members to attend Opening Day, not to exceed $200/pp. Andrew approved. Rachelle seconded. Lisa will collect information for travelers and will forward to Allen to complete the purchase. Travelers will include: Lisa-Ann Pana, Rachelle Agrigado, Shana Kukila, Evelyn Lee, and Farrah Marie Gomes (or Jennifer Stotter). All approved. Motion passed. C. Legislative a. Legislative Priorities —Women's Coalition Update Elena will update the committee at the next meeting. b. Missing Murdered Native Hawaiian Women and Girls (MMNHWG)— Tabled c. Malama Ohana Working Group None. d. Zonta Club of Hilo's 16 Days of Activation Elena reminded everyone to join the Zonta Club at the November 25, 2023 Christmas Parade and to wear orange to symbolize a stand against DV and gender violence. X. ANNOUNCEMENTS 1. Hawaii State Coalition requesting public testimony— contact Shana XI.
