To consider discipline and charges against employees of the Hawai‘i County Fire
Department where consideration of matters affecting privacy will be involved and
a closed session is requested, and to consult with Corporation Counsel on
questions and issues pertaining to the commission’s powers, duties, privileges,
immunities, and liabilities. (Pursuant to HRS 92-5(2) and Hawai‘i County Charter
Section 13-20(b) ).

Communication No. 04-017 from Fire Chief Darryl Oliveira to Jay Sasan thanking
him for his commendation letter regarding the assistance he received following
an automobile accident along with thank you letter from Jay Sasan re the same.
Communication No. 04-018 from Fire Chief Darryl Oliveira to James Turner
thanking him for his letter commending Fire Fighters Michael Ishizu, Chad
Shirota and Chad Hundley for their assistance along with thank you letter from
James Turner re the same.
