PROPOSED ADOPTION OF
RULES OF PRACTICE AND PROCEDURE
FOR THE
COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I GAME MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMISSION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a public hearing for the proposed adoption of Rules Of Practice And Procedure, which is initiated by the Game Management Advisory Commission, pursuant to Chapter
91, Hawai‘i Revised Statutes (HRS) and Section 13-4 of Hawai‘i County Charter.
DATE: Tuesday, March 21, 2023
TIME: 9:00 a.m.
PLACE: 25 Aupuni St., Puna Conference Room #1501, Hilo, HI 96720
The proposed adoption of rules for the County of Hawai‘i Game Management Advisory Commission will: 1) specify powers and duties of the of the Commission, 2) specify the organization
of the Commission, 3) specify the rules related the conduct of meetings. The County of Hawai‘i Game Management Advisory Commission was added to the Hawaii County Charter in 2012
in Section 6-9.3, the proposed adoption of rules will provide clarity.
The purpose of the public hearing is to afford all interested persons a reasonable opportunity to provide comments on the proposed adoption of rules. Written comments may be submitted
in person at the public hearing or be submitted by mail to the Game Management Advisory Commission or via email to Barbara.Kossow@hawaiicounty.gov no later than March 21, 2023.
Copies of the proposed rules are on file and open to inspection during office hours at the Hilo Office of the Mayor, 25 Aupuni Street, Suite 2603, Hilo, Hawai’i, and at the Kona Office
of the Mayor, 74-5044 Ane Keohokālole Hwy., Bldg C, Kailua-Kona, Hawai’i. Additionally, a draft of the proposed Game Management Advisory Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure can
be found on-line on the County website in the Game Management Advisory Commission folder at https://records.hawaiicounty.gov/weblink/1/doc/120873/Page1.aspx.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or language interpretation to access this meeting please contact the Office of the Mayor at 808-961-8211
or 808-323-4444 as soon as possible, but no later than five (5) working days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for accommodations.
Notice to lobbyists: If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaiʻi County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist. [Chapter 2, Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawaiʻi
County Code.] A lobbyist means “any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of
attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials.” [Chapter 2, Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a)(6), Hawaiʻi
County Code.] Registration forms and expenditure report documents are available at the Office of the County Clerk-Council, 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo, Hawaiʻi 96720.
