To consider discipline and charges against employees of the HawaiÒi County Fire
Department where consideration of matters affecting privacy will be involved and
a closed session is requested, and to consult with Corporation C
questions and issues pertaining to the commissionÓs powers, duties, privileges,
immunities, and liabilities. (Pursuant to HRS 92-5(2) and HawaiÒi County Charter
Section 13-20(b) ).

Correspondence No. 02-104 RE: Letter from Fire Chief Darryl Oliveira to Mr.
Ken Kramer commending Fire Captain David Wung and Fire Equipment
Operator Hal Takayama along with letter from Patty Sue Salvador, Agent of Hilo
Properties, LLC., thanking HFD & HPD personnel for their prompt and
compassionate response for the incident that occurred at the Aloha Ohana
Building.
Correspondence No. 02-105 RE: Memo from Lincoln S.T. Ashida, Corporation
Counsel, re: Attorney and Secretarial Assignments - Direct Telephone Numbers;

Correspondence No. 02-106 RE: Memo from Fire Chief Darryl Oliveira to
Firefighter Troy Fernandez re commendation along with letter from Salvatore
Lanzilotti, of the Honolulu Emergency Services Department, City & County of
Honolulu recognizing Kimberly Santos, Ben Takemura & Troy Fernandez for the
service and care of Mr. Robert Davis on 7/29/02.

with notes of July 12, 2002 quarterly meeting.
Correspondence No. 02-108 RE: Letter from Fire Chief Darryl Oliveira to Mrs.
Sharon Arthur Perreira extending his condolences for the passing of Mrs.
PerreiraÓs father along with letter from Sharon Arthur Perreira expressing thanks
for the presence of a Fire Honor Guard at her fatherÓs funeral.
Correspondence No. 02-109 RE: Letter from Fire Chief Darryl Oliveira to Mr.
Christopher Leonard & Ms. Gwen Kort for participating at the 2002 KWXX-FM
Downtown Hilo HoÓolauleÓa along with letter from Christopher Leonard & Gwen
Kort thanking the Fire Department for their assistance at the event.
