To consider discipline and charges against employees of the HawaiÒi County Fire
Department where consideration of matters affecting privacy will be involved and
a closed session is requested, and to consult with Corporation C
questions and issues pertaining to the commissionÓs powers, duties, privileges,
immunities, and liabilities. (Pursuant to HRS 92-5(2) and HawaiÒi County Charter
Section 13-20(b) ).

Minutes of the May 12, 2004 regular session meeting.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS
Communication No. 04-023 from Fire Chief Darryl J. Oliveira to Mr. & Mrs. Jay
Villiaros extending condolences on DannyÓs passing along with thank you and
commendation letter from Jay & Dominica Villiaros re the same.
Communication No. 04-024 from Fire Chief Darryl J. Oliveira to A
thanking her for her letter commending Captain Clint Coloma, FEO Ted Van
Gelder and Fire Rescue Specialist Charles Spain for providing stand-by support
HawaiÒi County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer
during the Waiakeawaena May Day festivities along with thank you letter from
Ada Kudo, May Day Committee, 2004, re the same
Communication No. 04-025 from Fire Chief Darryl J. Oliveira to H
School/Community Reunion Committee thanking them for their letter
commending Firefighters Joseph Farias & Maikai Piianaia who provided stand-by
support during their recent reunion along with their letter from the Hakalau
School Community Reunion Committee re the same
Communication No. 04-026 from Fire Chief Darryl J. Oliveira to Jelica Matic
commending her for surviving from the aircraft accident and that
a successful mission along with thank you note from Jelica Matic re the same
Communication No. 04-027 from Fire Chief Darryl J. Oliveira to L
thanking her for her telephone call commending Firefighters Gerard Chai, Wade
Ferreira and Richard Wells for coming to her aid
