To consider discipline and charges against employees of the Hawai‘i County Fire
Department where consideration of matters affecting privacy will be involved and
a closed session is requested, and to consult with Corporation Counsel on
questions and issues pertaining to the commission’s powers, duties, privileges,
immunities, and liabilities. (Pursuant to HRS 92-5(2) and Hawai‘i County Charter
Section 13-20(b) ).

WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS
Communication No. 04-028 from Chief Darryl J. Oliveira re: letter to Ho`ike
Committee Members of Waiakea Elementary School thanking them for their letter
commending inspectors Ala Yagi & Jack Pacleb and Fire Fighters Robert
Perreira & Mark Kaili who provided stand-by support during their festivities along
with letter from Waiakea Elementary School re the same.
Communication No. 04-029 from Kurt R. Penrose re: Fire Prevention
Hawai‘i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer
Communication No. 04-030 from Chief Darryl J. Oliveira re: letter to Katherine
Webster, Principal of Hilo High School thanking her for her letter commending
Central Fire Station medic personnel who provided stand-by support during the
recent graduation commencement ceremonies

confidential correspondence (thank you letters) sent to the Fire Commission for
the past years
