To consider discipline and charges against employees of the HawaiÒi County Fire
Department where consideration of matters affecting privacy will be involved and
a closed session is requested, and to consult with Corporation C
questions and issues pertaining to the commissionÓs powers, duties, privileges,
immunities, and liabilities. (Pursuant to HRS 92-5(2) and HawaiÒi County Charter
Section 13-20(b) ).

Minutes of the July 9, 2003 regular & executive session meetings.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS
Communication No. 03-52 from Fire Chief Darryl Oliveira to Ms. Leomi Bergknut
regarding commendation of Captains Ralph Yawata and Thomas Beach for their
participation in the Kohala Emergency Response Academy along with thank you
letter from Ms. Bergknut regarding the same.
Communication No. 03-53 from Fire Chief Darryl Oliveira to Mr. Jeffrey Mermel &
Ms. Susan Hamilton regarding the recognition of Acting Captain Glenn Honda
and Firefighter Recruit Donald Alfich for participating in a Downtown Hilo
beautification project along with thank you letter from Mr. Mermel & Ms. Hamilton
regarding same.

regarding Opinion from Office of Information Practices regarding Executive
