Please read the duties summary and minimum qualification requirements. Answer all questions completely and <br />be sure to sign the application. Print legibly in blue or black ink, only. <br />2. A copy of your current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification and driver's license must <br />be attached and submitted by the deadline. <br />3. A swim and skills test are required prior to employment. This testis pass/fail. The testis as follows: <br />a. Swim 300 yards continuously, in under 7 minutes demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing. <br />b. Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds: <br />i. Starting in the water, swim 20 yards. The face maybe in or out of the water. Swimming goggles <br />are not allowed. Surface dive, feet -first, or head -first, to retrieve a 10-pound brick from deep <br />end. <br />ii. Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point with both <br />hands holding the object and keeping the face at or near the surface so still able to get a breath. <br />Exit the water without using a ladder or steps. <br />c. Lifeguard -specific skills assessment; please bring your lifeguarding hip pack and CPR mask. <br />4.
