NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING PRODUCTION PROGRAM ADMINISTRATIVE RULES
The County of Hawaiʻi Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) intends to amend the administrative rules that provide the framework for administering the County funded Affordable Housing Production (AHP) Program in the following sections:
• §1-2 Definitions
• §3-2 Eligible Activities for Program Funds
• §3-3 Grant Application Process
• §3-4 Grant Selection Process
• §3-5 Grant Requirements
Pursuant to Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes §91-3, notice is given that the amended Administrative Rules for the AHP Program will be available for public review and comment from February 14, 2024, to March 15, 2024 A Public Hearing to gather community input and testimony on the amended Administrative
Rules will be held on March 15, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. 1990 Kinoʻole Street, Conference Room 104 Hilo, Hawaii 96720

The OHCD encourages citizens to participate in this public hearing to share their input on the topic.
The amended Administrative Rules may be viewed on the OHCD’s website at www.hawaiicounty.gov/ahp or the following OHCD office locations on Monday through Friday, except holidays, from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Written comments for the proposed amendments to the Administrative Rules may be submitted to the above OHCD offices or e-mailed to ohcd.ahp@hawaiicounty.gov no later than 4:30 p.m. on March 15, 2024. Comments submitted will be considered in the final amendments to the
Administrative Rules. Persons requiring special accommodations may contact the OHCD at V/TT 808-961-8379 at least
