My name is Max Doniger and I am a resident of Naalehu, HI.
I am in complete opposition with the Planning Commission moving forward with a Special Management Area Use
Permit(SMA)based on a Draft Environmental Impact Statement(DEIS)from 2006. 1 stand with the people of Ka'u
and demand a new and relevant EIS along with an updated shore assessment and setback, a disaster mitigation
plan, and an upgrade of the surrounding infrastructure that is deteriorating.
I stand with the community of Ka'u on the proposed Punalu'u project, and demand a current EIS and CDP
(Community Development Plan of Ka'u)that reflects the will of the people of Ka'u and its Native Hawaiian Cultural
Practitioners.
To move forward with this construction project is RECKLESS and downright criminal.Anyone who is not willing to
protect the islands' nature should be ASHAMED WITH THEMSELVES!!!!!!!!!
