Good morning,
This letter is regarding to opposing development at Punalu'u Beach.
Our beach is already crowded.Our community is already getting bought out from mainlanders.We are not the city.
We are a small rural community.We love our country living.
Allowing development that is not coastal dependent in an already crowded area,within 200'of the high water mark
puts people and facilities in danger from tsunami or fire,Irresponsible planning with huge
liabilities.This is a fire prone area and again a huge risk with only one road in and out.
I am demanding an Environmental Impact Study as the last one is over 20 years old!!! The impacts to the wildlife
(Critical Habitat for Turtles,Marine life,Nene Geese,monk seals,coral.),the people,the ocean and the land will be
significant and they MUST provide a new EIS for review before any approval is granted.
