Subject: Black Sands Beach Special Management Area Permit, at Former Sea Mountain at Punalu'u
Resort Area
Honored Commissioners,
The Development under consideration, and the condition of the areas around it have a history of at
least 3 years of disappointment for the People and Visitors of Hawai'i. For years we have heard
words about improving infrastructure...but the real story is there has been no satisfactory action
taken to support the existing infrastructure. Approving a huge new Project without first having hard
evidence of actual existing infrastructure improvement would be unwise. If one does not keep a
clean house...will they keep clean an even bigger house?
Additionally,the Project is dangerously close to the coastline,endangering our precious sea life, as
well as permanently changing the character of our beloved Hawai'i.
