Subject:Application by Black Sands Beach LLC for a Special Management Area Permit
Dear Commissioners,
The proposed Development by the Black Sands Beach LLC at Punalu'u has caused me great
concern. Our condo at Colony One is a retreat from the modern world...a place of spiritual revival
and peace. My Husband and I spent decades enjoying our Old Hawai'i. He passed too soon in
2011, but his Spirit is still so strong there...our children...and our grandchildren...visit and can
connect with him.
Hopefully soon,there will be great grandchildren. Those most young will never have known"Tata",
but I am sure his Spirit will remain strong there. It would be so sad if our Old Hawai'i was lost to our
future generations,Tata would have fought hard to keep it.
