I ' m the owner of a Short Term
Vacation Rental. I purchased
the home next to my in-laws . I
travel to the Big Island Hawaii,
several times a My In-
Lawsyear.

welcome each renter, check
them in and out.
I follow all the rules and
regulations, of the Countyof
g
Hawaii, as does each person
staying in my STRs. My rental
brings revenue to the island of
Hawaii, in the form of taxes,
and tourism . We have hosted
several essential workers over
the years as well as families
coming to enjoy what the East
side of Hawai ' i has to offer. On
the East side of the Island there
are not enough hotels to
accommodate tourists.
Currently the Marri Monarch,
would not be possible without
the short term rentals .
Tourism brings a great deal of
revenue to the Island, if the
Island cannot house these
visitors, they will go elsewhere .
Without tourists spending their
money, revenue will greatly
decrease causing a great loss of
j obs.
