Members of the Commission,
The requirement of an additional health and safety affidavit as proposed in Bill 121 is
unnecessary and burdensome. As homeowners, we adhere to building codes designed
for safety. This proposed requirement is redundant, and we strongly oppose it,
advocating for its removal to avoid complicating the straightforward process of home
rentals.
If neighbors have a problem with illegally built structures, they file a complaint with the
Building Department. There is already a process for this.
