I am vehemently against bill 121 as it will <br /> materially impact my way of life and possibly force me to leave the island if I am unable to <br /> replace the lost income. <br /> I will be fine though but I am concerned by all the people who are unable to have a voice <br /> either because they don't know about the legislation or because they haven't decided yet to <br /> generate income from STVRs. <br /> Just answer simple questions before deciding whether to proceed: <br /> How much tax revenue will the county lose from fewer tourists and fewer STVR units? <br /> How many jobs will be list because of decreased tourism (bc there are less affordable places to <br /> stay for tourists)? <br /> How many long term rentals do you think this legislation will make available? <br /> After you have the information from the above, can you honestly say it's still worth pursuing <br /> this legislation? <br /> Mahalo for your time and I pray that our democratic process will be upheld. <br /> Warmest regards, <br /> Tarek Antaki <br /> 68-3534 Malina St. <br /> Waikoloa, HI 96738 <br />
