Please accept my full support of the proposed community venue slated for the
Kealakekua district on Hawaii island. The establishment,whose working title is "Maluhia
Center," will be located on Ackerman Ranch.
Having been closely associated with the Ackerman family for nearly four decades, both
as a former employee and a friend, I can vouch for their unwavering commitment to their
local community. This is a neighborhood based on "ohana", friendships and the sense of
unity that comes with family gatherings.
Introducing such a facility would undeniably serve as an essential hub for all special
occasions and I have the greatest confidence that through this project,the Ackerman
family will enhance community pride.
This district lacks such a communal space, and the prospective establishment of this
proposal would fill this void..
I ask that you and your committee fully endorse "Maluhia Center".
