Dear Sir or Madam,
As the owner of an unhosted NUC STVR,permitted the first year you required it to be permitted, I have some
concerns about several of the sections of the proposed legislation. We spend a lot of time at our home,and we
bought it because we plan to retire here when my husband stops working in a few years. However,the property
taxes keep going up,it is a large home, and we have to do some vacation rentals in order to keep this house. Every
time this is amended,it seems like you are siding with the hotels and trying to shut down legitimate licensed,tax
paying owners who are following all of the rules. My home is not a home that would ever be used as a long term
rental.
There are a few items that I am wondering about:
Complaints-how will you be able to verify that a complaint is legitimate and not just a grumpy person calling in for
no legitimate reason?
Section 25-4-17.2 Reporting: Hosting Platforms
This section puts a huge burden on VRBO and hosting platforms. Is there any indication that they are going to be
able to provide you with this monthly reporting? Is it just a ploy by the hotel industry to wipe out STVRs?
I urge you to stop these obvious pushes by the hotel industry to shut down alternate accommodations.
