I am writing to express my strong support for the special use permit application submitted by
Ackerman Ranch to host events on their property. Ackerman Ranch has been a pillar in our
community for generations, earning widespread respect for their commitment to our local
heritage and land stewardship.
Kona has a notable lack of venues for hosting gatherings, which limits our options for
community and private events. Ackerman Ranch offers a safe and beautiful setting that would
provide a much needed space for these events.
Ackerman Ranch offers a venue that is designed to have minimal impact on the land. Their
proposed use of the property for events respects the natural beauty of the land with an open-air
pavilion, making it an ideal setting for a variety of events.
I strongly support this permit application and hope you consider it favorably for the benefit of
our entire community.
