Kunz Housing Adknw@or SUBJECT: QUARTERLY REPORT ON 201 H APPLICATIONS PER RESOLUTION 431.20 DIRECTING HAWAII COUNTY TO STRATEGICALLY ADDRESS ITS ESCALATING HOUSING CRISIS WITH URGENCY, DATED JANUARY 22, 2020. The Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) submits the quarterly report requested by Resolution 431-20 Directing Hawaii County to Strategically Address its Escalating Housing Crisis with Urgency, dated 1/22/20. The following provides an overview of all pending HRS § 201H applications (henceforth 201 H Application") during the quarter : I.ACTIVE HRS F4 201H APPLICATIONS 1.Hale Ola O Mohouli (TMK: (3) 2-4-001:168) The Hawaii Island Community Development Corporation (HICDC) finalized revisions to their 201 H Application for certain exemptions in December 2021. The OHCD distributed this 201 H Application to County Departments and State agencies for their review and has received no objections to this project application from County or State Departments. This application was submitted to County Council Chair for placement on the County Council Planning Committee agenda for the August 2, 2022 meeting. 3076pamb 111211 EQUP HOUSING OPPORMW July 19, 2022 Page 2 HICDC proposes to develop a 9.091-acre parcel in Waiakea, South Hilo, Hawai'i using a "pocket neighborhood" design with no more than 90 residential units composed of surrounding common areas to create a sense of community within the clusters, and central common areas to be enjoyed by the entire development. The project will consist of 90 units including thirty (30) single story elderly units, and sixty(60)two-story family units with a central community center. The targeted income is 60% AMI and below.
