I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed development project in Punalu'u,Ka'u,which includes
the construction of 225 residential and short-term units,along with golf courses,retail shops,and a commercial
center.While development can bring economic benefits,it's crucial to consider the long-term impact on our
environment and community.
The Big Island of Hawaii is renowned for its natural beauty and diverse ecosystems.The proposed project threatens
to disrupt these vital habitats,leading to irreversible environmental damage.Furthermore,it could displace and
disturb the natural healing ecosystems that are essential for the well-being of our community and future generations.
I urge you to reconsider this development proposal and prioritize the preservation of our environment and the
protection of our communities.Sustainable development that respects and harmonizes with nature is key to ensuring
a thriving and resilient future for all.I'm sure there's a win win available.Let's discuss it.
