Aloha Mae kako,
My name is Kinohi Lee,great great grandchild to Aunty Elizabeth Maluihi Lee.I now reside in the district of kau
with my Ohana.As a child my grandmother would take us down to Punalu'u and observe all the lush Waimea style
weather,the honu's basking in the sunshine,walking the trails of our ancestors that came before us,and you know
you always have to stop for malasadas at punalu'u bakery.I would have never imagined as a child that some rich
contractor would come by someday and try and destroy this sacred land.This is a ahupua'a,this is not just land!
This is life,this is ha or the breath we breathe.We want our beaches to last generations! We want our Keiki to be
able to also see the beauty we once saw! I'm so outraged with our state,is Kohanaiki not enough,was a'ole TMT
not enough,is our word NOT ENOUGH!!! We are not here for the money,we are here to bring OUR people home!
Let's work harder on providing for the native Hawaiians still living and less on the tourists DESTROYING
EVERYTHING!! I'm not sure what the state has in mind with this agenda down at Punalu'u but this is not pono.
Have you seen the tourists dying due to jumping off South Point?Well if you allow this complex to be built,you
will be victim to seeing more and more of that.They do not malama aina and we all know the Hawaiians of
punalu'u will not be able to afford this luxurious resort.BUILD IT IN OAHU ITS ALREADY DESTROYED!!
