We all know the unseen collateral damages brought by so-called development. Yes there might be job opportunities. Yes there might be morethings to do in a relatively quite place like Punaluu. But these instant gratification "jobs" and "excitement" belie the long term damage that development entails: adverse effects on the beach, the honu, the environment; unwarranted commercialism and its permanent effects on our way of life, etc... Please deny the request of Black Sand Beach Punaluu LLC for a special use permit to develop the area. No more development and its attendant environmental and social impact! Mahalo! ariel Aloha and Namaste! Notice it in total strangers. Notice it in people you love. Notice it even in people you think you don't like. Every time you're in contact with anyone, look for the light. Open yourself up to the resonance and notice the change that happens within you."-Karen Walsfrond(writer- photoessayist, engineer and lawyer)
