Please deny the Shoreline Management Area(SMA)permit extension for Black Sand Beach
LLC at Punalu`u.
I have lived on the Big Island for over 50 years. Driving through Kau`u provides such a
calming, beautiful and spiritual experience for me. I can only imagine, with the threat of a
major development of this type, how sad some of the people who enjoy living in this area
now are feeling.
Having a resort as described online would not only change the physical appearance but the
whole culture and people. We don't need another Kailua-Kona area on this island. Love the
Big Island just the way it is.
