Aloha,
I am writing to you as a resident of Moku O Keawe who lives in Ola'a.
I would like to respectfully ask you to NOT grant this permit.This is a place of great significance on Moku O
Keawe.It is also,the only coastline in the area that residents can go enjoy with their families.The negative impact
of a resort at this beach would be enormous-not only because of disturbing the ground but the negative impact of all
those tourists walking around,degrading beaches,taking sand,ili'ili,disturbing the Honu,etc-I want to also say
that the stress and pressure this would have on the residents(mostly the people of Ka'u)would be significant.Na
Kanaka Oiwi need to be able to fish,camp,swim,hike and commune with their aina.
Please do not grant this permit.
