I am officially opposed to this bad idea
I don't agree with Black Sand Beach LLC....
Too many inconsistencies in her story .....they purchased over 2000 acres and now act as if
they're doing Na'alehu and Pahala a favor
Where's the money really coming from ?
They want a return on the investment at the expense of the community .....Higher property
values ...and the next generation of kids won't be able to afford to live here .
Jobs ...? Making Beds and Cleaning Heads ?
Minimum wage at best .
The infrastructure won't support it ...
The turtles are on the Federal and International Endangered Species list....the old restaurant is
right next to the pond ....I'm sure the soil has contaminates ...it's in a turtle nesting site ....you
have to have a Environmental Impact Study ....and a plan for cleanup and disposal of the
contaminates....it goes on and on .....you just can't go digging holes .....I'm shocked they
haven't addressed any of this ...
Build the infrastructure first .... If they really want to endear themselves to the community
....give Ka'u a vested stake in the business $$$
