To the Windward Planning Commission and the County of Hawaii,
I am writing to state that I am opposed to the development plan in Punalu`u. The plans do not
take into account the safety measures that need to be made prior to construction to protect the
community. They say the development will create jobs in the area but the housing would be for
tourists and the local community already has jobs. Also, there's no way to ensure they would
hire local people in the are or give priority to people in the area.
